Role Purpose
// The main purpose of this role is to enable the Transform to Win (T2W) project through the set up Centers of Excellence (CoE) assist the farmers to optimize their production as well as safe use of crop protection products. He/she will also assist to strengthen the Bayer VS and CP brands and promote sustainability for Agriculture in the country. They will also be tasked to create demand for our VS/CP products especially in tomato crop through value proposition which will lead to incremental business to the company as well people development.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
// Assist in managing the company assets at the Center of Excellence (CoE) station
// Knowledge transfer – help during training of internal teams, growers and stakeholders on Farmer Best Practices during field days held at the CoE station.
// Assist in showcasing tailored solution – benefit of joint solution of VS + CP products
// Assist farmers in Agronomics: How to improve technical knowledge of growers to optimize production
// Demand creation – assist in showcasing value of Bayer VS/CP products
Assist in managing casual labour and preparing their wages to process payment
// Assist in Managing the crop at the CoE station.
Visiting farmer fields within the region to offer solution and to guide them on farmer best practices
// Assist in collecting, collating and preparing data summaries, reports, or analysis that includes charts or graphs on crop performance
// Assist with coordinating activities like crop management, insect and pest control, crop water management at the station
// Keep visiting grower data records
// Help prepare work plans, monthly reports, project monitoring and evaluation and other project reports are completed on time.
// Help in assessing the training needs of farmers and various stakeholders and discuss these needs with project manager on a regular basis.
// Assist in linking and connecting farmers to vegetable seeds and crop protection dealers in our products
// Undertake any other roles as assigned by the project manager

Experiences, skills and Qualifications
// Minimum of diploma in Agriculture related field with at least two years of experience.
// Strong customer focus
// Agricultural knowledge and understanding of regional market environment and dynamics
// Good planning and organizational skills
// Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
// Experience in farmer mobilization and working with farmers, partners and farmer groups .
// Strong written and verbal communications skills and demonstrable ability to deliver technical training
// Fluency in Microsoft Office
// Motorbike riding skills and a valid riding license is an added advantage
