Sinonin Food Innovations Ltd is a sister company to Sinonin Biotech and is a leading company dedicated to mainstreaming alternative proteins in Kenya to supplement protein needs for livestock farmers, particularly poultry, pig, and dairy farmers. Our mission is to introduce sustainable protein sources and innovative farming practices to enhance the productivity and profitability of the livestock industry. We have identified Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) as a highly sustainable protein source and are currently engaged by a client to support BSFL/chicken rearing module development to power the “Bottom-Up Economic Empowerment Model“. The adoption of BSFL in Kenya is gaining traction, with smallholder units playing a significant role. As part of our expansion, we are setting up a base at Kapsabet, Nandi County, for a pioneering project focused on BSFL rearing, integration of chicken farming, and establishment of FRASS and biogas units.
