Area Sales Manager – East Africa – Plant Nutrition

Permanent Contract – Remote from Kenya

Reporting to the Area Manager in Plant Nutrition for Africa and Middle East – Agriculture BU, you will have to further develop Timab Magnesium’s business activity in the field of agricultural (plant nutrition) for East-African market.

Your main missions will be:

  • To define the sales strategy according to the Area Manager for this region
  • To prospect new clients
  • To manage the distribution channels
  • To take responsibility for your area and optimize your results (margins, volume and market share) with direct sales
  • To guarantee the quality of our products and respect delivery deadlines to our customers
  • To monitor the market (competition, potential clients, raw material cost, regulations)
  • To insure the reporting to the Area Manager

Profile required:

You have a successful 2 – 3 years of experience in sales, ideally in a B-to-B environment. A first experience in sales of Agricultural products and/or familiar with fertilizers would be a plus.

You have a perfect command of English, Portuguese will be a plus.

Knowledge of cultural and business practices in the agricultural landscape will be highly appreciated.

You are an excellent negotiator, have an adventurous spirit and you are result oriented. You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and love to take up big challenges. Your reactiveness, rigor and excellent listening capabilities will give you what it takes to meet your customers’ needs.

You can work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.

You love being outdoor on the field, travel in the region is to be expected (70%).
