Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata and a delegation from Murang’a county government held deliberative talks with the Managing Director of Del Monte Fresh Produce in Africa Mr.Stergios Gkaliamoutsas and other managers at Del Monte offices in Kakuzi Gatanga.

The talks aimed at brokering an Out grower Partnership between Del Monte and Fruit Farmers in Murang’a County particularly those who grow Mangoes, Avocados, Bananas, Tomatoes, Berries, Oranges and Passion Fruit.

This Partnership once finalized will see Fruit Farmers in Murang’a get a profitable and reliable Market for their Fresh Fruits Produce in the leading fruits processing multinational company.

The County is urging fruit farmers in Murang’a to organize themselves through Fruits Farmers’ Cooperative Societies and increase their Production Sustainably.
